The Jupiter-Saturn cycle is one of astrology’s longest used and most reliable yardsticks for measuring history. It accurately plots the rise and fall of empires, religions and intellectual movements. Its 200 year eras are astrology’s macro-historical tool par excellence. The Jupiter-Saturn cycle is especially relevant to the little piece of history we’re currently living, as we’re on the cusp of eras for the first time since the beginning of the 19th century.
In this talk we’ll first explore the technical framework of how the Jupiter-Saturn cycle works, and then delve into the four elemental eras, comparing past instances of each period. The parallels between our time and other eras shine a clarifying light not only on our current moment, but on the two centuries previous and the two to come.
