Tuesday begins with the Moon’s conjunction with Mercury in the very last degree of Gemini, starting off the day with a chatty boost of mental energy. That last shot of caffeinated Gemini energy does not last long, though. The Moon enters sensitive, emotional Cancer shortly thereafter, and Mercury follows only hours after that.
In Cancer, Mercury moves the conversation toward matters of home, family, and acts of care and cultivation. It is a phase of intimate conversations and personal considerations. Mercury will be in Cancer until June 26th this year, when it leaves the Crab’s sign for Leo. It will, however, make a retrograde return to Cancer between July 19th and August 11th.
With both the Moon and Mercury in Cancer by nightfall, it is an evening for comfort-seeking and private conversation.
