Jupiter and Saturn’s conjunctions form the backbone of the astrological study of history. Their orderly reunions move through the zodiac slowly, forming repeating 200 year periods characterized by the four elements: Fire, Earth, Air, and Water. These two century epochs are especially relevant today, as we have just entered a new elemental epoch—Air. Using historical comparison, we will explore and define each era, with a special focus on Air.

This lecture is a plunge back into the basics, but with depth and technical nuance. In an attempt to move beyond “Exaltation good, Fall bad,” we’ll conduct a detailed survey of the qualities, pitfalls, mitigations, remedies, and hidden potentials of Fallen planets. As Falls are present in both Vedic and Western astrology, we will make use of insights from both to paint a fuller picture of what it means to fall, and rise again.

In this workshop, we will go through the criteria for activities such as buying and selling, accepting and leaving a job, hiring and firing employees, asking for favors, scheduling surgeries, getting married, as well as some less common tasks, like scheduling an exorcism or getting arrested.
