Coming from a background in both art and science, Edward has been divining and reading professionally for clients for over 25 years. Their practice explores the intersection of the seen and unseen, where occult influences manifest in tangible material forms and experiences, with the aim of sparking insight and transformation.
In addition to chart analysis and electional astrology, areas of astrological specialty include the design and construction of talismanic works, astrological devotion, and strategies for astrological remediation. Fixed stars are a particular area of interest, including ongoing research and active work.
Edward's astrological practice has been shaped by Austin Coppock's Fundamentals of Astrology course, but also by the work of Christopher Warnock, Dr. Jenn Zahrt, Cameron Cassidy, Andrea Gehrz, and the Orphic Hymn translations and astrological interpretations of Kristin Mathis and Drew Levine. Edward has presented at Astromagia on fixed star talismans.

Weaving Starlight into Matter: The Spica Project
Classical texts describing the methods of creating astrological talismans often contain incomplete or contradictory information regarding both the natures of the astral entities themselves and the talismans formed under their influence. Notably lacking, however, are detailed or comparative reports of the results of the talismanic craft.
This project focuses on the creation of astrological talismans with the influence of the fixed star Spica. An experimental prototyping approach was employed, using a sequence of waxing moon talismanic elections for Spica of varying configurations and levels of “ideal”-ness. All elected talismans were made using standardized materia and methods, then blind-tested by volunteers to illuminate how specific elements of a fixed star election change the resulting quality of communication and communion with the fixed star, and the resulting talisman’s corresponding quality and effects.
Through experience, we are able to discern and clarify conflicting testimony regarding both the impact of electional characteristics on talismanic effects, and the inherent nature of the fixed star Spica.

In 2020, I decided to get (more) serious about my astrological practice, and enrolled in Austin Coppock's Fundamentals of Astrology course. The 3-year program provided me with both a solid foundation in classical techniques, as well as a broad survey of the primary classical astrological literature of the West. I gained a deeper understanding of planetary and stellar motion, the ways in which astrological configurations reflect Earthly manifestation, and the discernment of a given time period's major influences and likely areas of emphasis. The curriculum also introduced practical applications of astrological knowledge, including strategies for planetary remediation, electional methods for identifying auspicious times for actions, to methods of astrological magic and talismanic workings.
Austin has created a clear, concise, and relevant curriculum in his Foundations of Astrology course, that achieves an outstanding balance between breadth and depth. His commitment to presenting the material in a way that is both understandable to a modern audience and faithful to the context and content of the classical materials he draws from is evident at all levels of the course sequence. Highly recommended!
