American Halloween begins with the buoyant conjunction of the Moon and Jupiter in Sagittarius, starting the day off on a enthusiastic, triumphal note.

Yet today is also host to Mercury’s retrograde station. Mercury does a swift pirouette at the end of Scorpio, deciding that instead of moving on, a loop back through the tunnels is in order.
