Jupiter enters Scorpio today, beginning the big planets 13-month tenure in the sign of the Scorpion. In Scorpio, Jupiter blesses bold journeys into the underworld, and teaches the methods by which the shadow-self might be claimed and integrated.
Meanwhile, the day begins with a pair of difficult aspects for the Moon. Luna first makes an irritating square to Mars, then an oppressive opposition with Saturn. Thankfully, this unfortunate window closes quickly, making way for the Moon’s mid-day square with Venus in Virgo, which although potentially neurosis-inspiring, is not particularly malefic. Come afternoon, the Moon moves on to a sextile with Uranus in Aries, which infuses those hours with a touch of lightning, hopefully just enough to shock people out of what may have been an unpleasant first portion of the day.
The real shift comes when the Moon enters Cancer during the evening and makes a lovely, dark and deep trine with newly ingressed Jupiter in Scorpio, providing us with a taste of what Jupiter’s intends to bring us over the next year.
