Saturday begins with the Moon in Gemini’s sextile to the Sun in Leo. This brief but happy angle between the lights starts the day off with a quantum of harmony and is the last touch between the Sun and Moon before the New Moon on the 31st.
The day maintains a generally good mood, courtesy of the buoyant Moon-Jupiter configuration in effect all day.
Toward sunset, Venus leaves tender Cancer behind for loud Leo. There is a social polarity-shift here, as Cancer is introverted and comfort-seeking, while Leo is extroverted and performative. In Leo, Venus blesses works of self-presentation, promotion, marketing, leadership and performance. This year, though, Venus will travel Leo as neither morning star nor evening star, as the normally-bright planet will be too close to the Sun to be seen with naked eye. Awash in the Sun’s fire, Venus is undergoing purification, and so too will the pretty and desirous things under the planet’s rulership. Venus will be in Leo until August 21st.
