Drew Levanti is a San Francisco-based astrologer, teacher and international speaker known for transmitting precise technique and scholarship in his uniquely soulful style. Bridging Hellenistic and Orphic lineages, Levanti’s work interweaves the mathematical and mystical roots of ancient astrology as medicine for our times. He works with clients using the birth chart interpretation, prediction, and elections.
In his independent teaching project “Initiate,” Levanti bridges natal, predictive and electional astrology by reviving the ancient attention to the relationship between them, primarily through the writing of Hephaistion of Thebes. In a collaborative effort, Levanti also teaches with Kristin Mathis on her new translations of the Orphic hymns in their class STAR: An Orphic Initiation.

Happy and Horsey: Reception in Magical Elections
Biographical in approach, this project explored the magic of Venus in Sagittarius, as ensouled on an election in October 2021. What ensued was a yearlong romp of sexual liberation, philosophical inquiry, and cultivating androgynous beauty.
Drew proposes that reception is more than a "mitigating condition" in elections, but actually creates different magical possibilities than standard forms of essential dignity like domicile and exaltation.
A refined version of the project was presented in February 2023 for the monthly salon of the International Association of Astral Magic.
