Monday is host to the New Moon in Cancer, which occurs precisely opposite Saturn in Cancer. The Sun and the Moon reunite to consider brightest Saturn, whose works as the minister of obstacles and the inspector general of gravity are written plainly across the year. The structural flaws are, at this point in the year, as bright and easy to see as Saturn is in the night sky. The fixes, less so. The problem that this lunation underlines is that while a good fix can only come from an accurate assessment of the problem, many of the problems this year are beyond any individual’s ability to change, and that staring at such problems does not move us any closer to solving them. Part of the work, then, on this New Moon is to sort Saturn issues into those that we have the power to change, and those that we do not. May God grant us the clarity to know the difference.
