Monday begins with the Moon in Leo’s configuration to Mercury. Though still retrograde, Mercury is no longer invisible and is only days from direct motion. This Mercury may have one final trick up its sleeve, but for the most part is interested in implementing fixes for problems diagnosed a while ago.

The night hours see the Moon chase a wee-hours trine with fun-seeking Venus in Sagittarius. This is a pleasant enough influence, but it is not the only celestial event that occurs. Mars leaves Libra’s ambivalence behind tonight, seeking instead the deadly certainty of the Scorpion’s tail. Mars is at peak strength in Scorpio, and amplifies our willingness to struggle and contest for both better and worse. The crimson gasoline Mars rains down here is equally potent fuel for both heroic ass-kicking and surly bullying. There is thus much to be said about how we manage the martial during the red planet’s time in Scorpio, which will be from now until January 3rd, 2020.
