Saturn leaves Aquarius today, bringing an end to the three-month preview period. The slow planet backs it up into Capricorn during the second half of the day, with plans to remain within the confines of the Goat’s sign until mid-December. This regress puts Saturn back in the same space as Pluto and Jupiter, the situation which characterized the first quarter of the year.
The copresence with Jupiter has both benefits and drawbacks, but the extended partnership with Pluto is decidedly worrisome. Though the slight distance between Saturn and Pluto waxes and wanes throughout the rest of 2020, it’s not by much. As we saw during the first quarter, and as history confirms, it is a combination that signifies plague, fear, distrust, totalitarian cultural forms, and the abuse of power. It is less overwhelmingly negative on a personal level, but it is still unrelentingly heavy, as it points towards deep work with complexes of cognition and karma highly resistant to change.
