January 2017: Opening Gambit
December 31, 2016[Beautiful Astrology] Talking Symbols with Austin Coppock
January 1, 2017The year begins with the Moon in Aquarius’s aspects to the tight nest of configurations between Uranus in Aries, Jupiter in Libra and Saturn in Sagittarius. Luna aspects them all from a copacetic angle during the first half of the day, highlighting the particular mixture of adaptability, discipline and optimism which the Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus requires.
After an active morning, the Moon spends the rest of the day chasing a pleasant conjunction with Venus at the end of Aquarius, which will be visible in the evening sky, just after sunset. After completing the conjunction, the Moon drops from the abstract heights of Aquarius into the felt deeps of Pisces, where it will be for the next several days. This shift toward the concealed is continued by the Moon’s late-late night sextile to retrograde Mercury in Capricorn, which dredge ideas and insights from the depths.
