The Moon in Leo makes a pleasant sextile with Venus in Libra, lubricating the morning hours, and then enters Virgo. Once established in the Virgin’s orderly fields, the Moon activates the Grand Earth Trine between Mercury in Virgo, Uranus in Taurus and Saturn in Capricorn. This configuration connects obstacles, insight, innovation and planning. Swirled together, they become wet cement, sparkling with tiny gemstones. What new patterns do you want to concretize?

While Moon hangs out in the cement-mixer with the rest of the Grand Earth Trine, Venus makes a passionate square with fiery Mars and then enters Scorpio. The Venus-Mars square calls for an adjustment between the masculine and feminine both within and between people. It is potentially erotic, but somewhat volatile.

This square is a fine introduction to Venus in Scorpio, as the stingered sign is itself martial territory. Venus enters Scorpio late night, trading out a white horse and scales to instead ride a scorpion and wield a whip. At times dark and delicious and at others negative and needy, Venus’ time in Scorpio provides for both hunger and satisfaction, pleasure and pain. It highlights these polarities’ interdependence and the mystery of their unitary origin.

Venus will be in Scorpio until October 31^st, when she retrogrades back into Libra, and then once more, from December 2^nd until January 7^th. We’ll be spending almost three months with Venus in Scorpio, so it would be wise to get to know her sooner rather than later.
