Two planets change their direction today, and another changes sign, signaling a pivot point in a variety of affairs. Jupiter stations direct, Uranus turns retrograde, and Mercury enters Leo.
Jupiter’s direct station ends almost four months of retrograde motion. The big planet’s resumption of forward motion restores its full benefic status, and helps restart projects delayed by the complicated skies of the last few months. It is a much-needed positive reframe.
While Jupiter turns forward, Uranus puts it in reverse. The eccentric planet will spend the next four and a half months in retreat, guiding us slowly back to review the experiments and adaptations the lightning-laced planet has inspired since the second quarter. It is a phase for evaluating your mutations, considering which of them are viable, and which are evolutionary dead ends.
While Jupiter and Uranus station, Mercury leaves the damp confines of Cancer in order to prowl the bright savannahs of Leo. This entails a shift in communication from a private to more a public mode. Thoughts turn to tricks of appearance and methods of presentation, and voices get louder, though not necessarily more coherent. Mercury will be in Leo until August 29th.
All of this occurs while the Moon heads into conjunction with Saturn in Capricorn, suggesting that we watch the unfolding directional changes patiently before plotting our course through the coming weeks.Horoscopes & Ongoing Influences
