Astrology of Saturday, May 20th

Saturday begins with the mellow Moon in Pisces’ square with sharp Mars in Gemini, which may make for an irritating morning, or at least one in which its hard to find the right balance between flow and force. After departing from contention with Mars, the Moon moves into a square with heavy, unyielding Saturn, which it does not complete until later in the evening. This puts Luna in a classic besiegement, between a rock and a hard place, and augurs poorly for projects undertaken this day.

While the Moon contends with Mars and Saturn, the Sun leaves Taurus, bidding goodbye to the sign’s pleasant pastures, as well as the bones buried beneath them. As the Sun enters Gemini, its spotlight shifts to the wild winds which race across and above terra firma. The Sun’s time with the Twins is good for curiosity, exploration and speed, and will last until the solstice, on June 20^th.

After Luna escapes Mars and Saturn, she makes a late-late move into Aries, landing in a restorative sextile to the newly ingressed Sun in Gemini. Late nights will thus tend to end on a better note than they began.
