The symbol for medicine is a serpent encircling a rod. This is so because wondrous medicines are born from terrible poisons. In astrology, the eclipse points, the Lunar nodes, the Head and Tail of the Dragon, are our entry point to this ambivalent, serpentine realm of remedy and venom entwined. When the dragon encircles one of the planets they are changed, intoxicated, their powers more and less than they were. In this workshop we will explore the conjunctions between the nodes and the planets, with special attention paid to the remedial alchemy required to metabolize the dragon’s strange gifts.
