Monday is busy with aspects. First, the active Moon in Gemini sextiles electric Uranus, giving the day an early jolt. The Moon then moves on to a trine with stationing Jupiter in Libra, giving the mid-day a pleasant and rather contemplative air. Luna then encounters a much less kindly opposition to Saturn in Sagittarius, which highlights obligations and obstacles, and may desaturate the ambiance.
After night falls and deepens, the Moon escapes the last, frayed degrees of Gemini and slips into soothing Cancer, in whose tide-pool Luna will reside for the next couple of days. Night also conceals Mercury’s ingress into Aquarius. The swift planet is well-suited to the abstract, detached orientation of the Water-Bearer’s sign, and its time there is thus appropriate for a wide variety of analytical and contemplative activities. Mercury will be in Aquarius until February 25th.
Finally, so late in the night so as to be morning, the Moon makes a brief, perhaps uncomfortable, square with Venus in Aries.
