Murkury

The week begins with Mercury’s  entry into the depths of Pisces.  Murky, alcoholic and cosmic, Mercury’s time in Pisces fuzzes out the codifying mind, blurring communications and confusing to-do lists.  The quality of ambient mental energy is less than useful for practical purposes, but can be very inspiring for a variety of creative activities. Mercury will be in Pisces until March 2^nd, though the messenger will return, retrograde, to the watery sign at the end of March.

The disoriented and dreamy influence of Mercury in Pisces is exaggerated by Mercury’s initial conjunction with Neptune on Monday night.   Later in the week, Mercury sextiles Jupiter in Taurus, giving communications a positive edge that may offset the frustrations triggered by Venus’ passing square with Pluto.

Valentine’s Day Special

Venus in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn for the first half of the week.  This passing configuration pulls the emotional energies inward, suppressing surface joys and heightening irritations.  A little excitement may be smothered, but it will swiftly pass.
